Barbara L. Miller is an educator, artist and curator. She continues to research connections between art, science and technology. Working directly with the Holt-Smithson Foundation, geologists, astronomers and lighting installation artists, she is currently curating an exhibition, Nancy Holt’s Stone Enclosure: Rock Rings (Geological Place and Cosmological Space). This curatorial endeavor is part of a larger research project that focuses on “naked-eye” artist-observers and the eco-political importance of understanding our relationship to deep space.
