Kate McCallum completed a PhD in linguistics and fine art practice at the University of Brighton in the UK, which was a study of communication among research mathematicians. She teaches at Pacific Northwest College of Art and Pacific University, and her research interests include art as a form of research and the intersections of art, science and philosophy.
