Sophie Publig works at the entanglements of ecological theory, digital cultures, and posthuman philosophy. She has been working and teaching at the University of Applied Arts Vienna and is currently finishing her dissertation The Sympoietic Life of Memes, a vital materialist analysis of Internet memes. She is an associate researcher at the Critical Media Lab Basel and frequent collaborator on all things post-apocalyptic. She studied art history, media studies, and architecture in Vienna, Berlin, and Warsaw.
