Dr. Silvin Knight is a Senior Research Fellow at Trinity College Dublin. His research focuses on quantitative modeling of hemodynamics and autoregulation, employing Near-infrared Spectroscopy (NIRS), Finometer, and Arterial Spin Labelling (ASL) MRI. Dr. Knight also explores data-driven and machine learning approaches for analyzing neurocardiovascular networks. Formerly, he dedicated his research to enhancing the precision of quantitative MRI and ultrasound imaging techniques. Dr. Knight earned his Ph.D. from Trinity College Dublin in 2018, specializing in dynamic contrast-enhanced (DCE) MRI for prostate cancer detection. He holds a BSc in Physics from Dublin Institute of Technology and previously worked in design and advertising before transitioning to physics and biomedical engineering in 2010.
