Martina R. Fröschl studied media technology and media design before writing her doctoral thesis Computer-Animated Scientific Visualizations of Tomographic Scanned Microscopic Organic Entities. She is a senior scientist at the Science Visualization Lab at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. She has always been inspired by the representation of realities and invisible phenomena. Her most recent work has been based on scientific imaging technologies such as μCT, MRT, SEM, and light microscopic images, in collaborations with imaging experts and biologists. She has exhibited her computer animations in various representations, for instance, in collective media art projects (Noise Aquarium, Virus Dice, C_ART, Our Earths, Butterfly}Pieris{Effect) as well as in visual effects shots and videos. Her computer animations have been exhibited internationally at venues such as the Deep Space at the Ars Electronica Center Linz (AT), the Barbican Center, London (GB), the SIGGRAPH Art Gallery (US), the EPICenter, Sydney (AU), QUT, Brisbane (AU), Cairotronica (EG), the Paseo Festival Taos (US), the NTU Art Gallery (SG), the Manhattan Pratt Gallery, New York (US), MAK Vienna (AT), Klang-Moor-Schopfe (CH), aMORE Pula (HR), and the ECC Venice (IT). www.martinafroeschl.com
