Lindsey french is an artist whose research-based practice draws from media studies, olfaction, botany, and ecology to consider positions of receptivity and marginality as active political and communicative positions. She has shared her work nationally in museums, galleries, screenings, and diy art spaces including the Museum of Contemporary Art (Chicago) and the International Museum of Surgical Science (Chicago), Pratt Manhattan Gallery (New York), the Miller gallery for Contemporary Art (Pittsburgh), Assemble (Pittsburgh), and Lease Agreement (Lubbock). Publications include chapters for "Olfactory Art and The Political in an Age of Resistance," "Why Look at Plants," and poetry for the journal "Forty-Five." She teaches as an Assistant Professor in Creative Technologies in the Faculty of Media, Art, and Performance at the University of Regina
