Felicia Cleper-Borkovi
Architectat Leonardo BoardFelicia is a Principal with Arup and has focused her 25-year career on redefining, desinstitutionalizing, and modernizing healthcare design.
Felicia is an architect by training and practice, with specific expertise in orchestrating inter-disciplinary teams for the design and planning of hospitals and ambulatory clinics. Prior to Arup, Felicia led the integration of design and medical planning at Anshen+Allen and Anshen Dyer in the US and in the UK and was the director of the Design Studio at Aditazz. She was President of Anshen + Allen and CEO/Chair of its British subsidiary, Anshen+Allen Ltd.
Felicia’s projects demonstrate the integration of architecture, clinical planning, landscape, lighting, art, and building design and include the Meyer Children’s Hospital in Florence, Italy, Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford University, Doernbecher Children’s Hospital at the Oregon Health Sciences University, Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Santa Clara, California, Kenneth Norris Jr. Cancer Hospital and Research Institute at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, Dignity Health St. Joseph's Hospital in Stockton, the UC Davis/Catholic Healthcare West Cancer Center in Merced, and the Laguna Honda Hospital and Rehabilitation Center in San Francisco.
During her secondment to London (2004-2010), she was Project Director and main client liaison for Manchester Joint Hospitals, The Royal Victoria Infirmary (RVI) in Newcastle, Tunbridge Wells Hospital at Pembury, and the New Acute Hospital for the South West in Enniskillen, Northern Ireland.
In addition to a Master of Architecture from Ion Mincu University of Architecture and Urbanism, Bucharest, Romania, Felicia holds a Post-Graduate degree in Modern and Contemporary British Art from the Royal College of Art in London, England, a Post-Graduate degree in Contemporary Italian Design from Domus Academy, Milan, Italy, and Diplomas in Corporate Strategy from the Graduate Business School at Stanford University and the Said Business School in Oxford,UK.
Felicia is co-Founder and President of 2112, Inc., a non-profit organisation dedicated to honoring the intersections of Art and Science, and serves as Board Director of the Architectural Foundation of San Francisco.
