Dr Laura Cinti is an internationally recognised research-based artist working with biology and co-director of the award-winning transdisciplinary art collective C-LAB which she co-founded in 2003 with Dr Howard Boland.
Through C-LAB they have developed an art practice using techno-scientific living artworks that have been exhibited worldwide and curate events and workshops focusing on the intersections of art and biotechnology.
Cinti’s artworks have been presented at venues such as the MAXXI National Museum of XXI Century Arts (Rome), Van Abbemuseum (Eindhoven), Espace Fondation EDF (Paris), National Theatre & Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic (Prague), Maison Européenne de la Photographie (Paris), Centro Andaluz de Arte Contemporáneo (Seville), Stone Bell House (Prague), The Royal Institute of Great Britain (London), Microwave International New Media Arts Festival (Hong Kong), Göteborg New Media Art Festival (Röda Sten), International Astronautical Congress (Glasgow) and Edinburgh International Science Festival.

Cinti holds a PhD from the Slade School of Fine Art working in an interdisciplinary capacity with University College London’s Centre of Advanced Biomedical Imaging. She has an MA in Interactive Media: Critical Theory & Practice for which she was awarded Distinction from Goldsmiths College, University of London and BA (Hons) in Fine Art where she obtained a First Class Honours from University of Hertfordshire.
