Dr Laini Burton is a Senior Lecturer at the Queensland College of Art, Griffith University where she is the Deputy Head of School, Learning and Teaching. Her research interests centre on contemporary visual art, body politics, bio-art and design, fashion theory, performance and body/spatial relations. In particular, her focus lies in the historical dimensions and contemporary theories of identity through creative and dress practices. Masking and masquerade are central to Laini's research.
