The Department of Multimedia and Graphic Arts of the Cyprus University of Technology aims to develop and disseminate cross-disciplinary academic values and knowledge in the areas of Multimedia and the Graphic Arts. We aims to contribute to internationally recognized research work and also support the applied, professional and academic development of our graduates. The emphasis and investment in strong theoretical and methodological basis, new technologies, creativity, aesthetics, design, innovation, and interdisciplinarity, as well as recognizing and utilizing the complexity of the related academic fields, are characteristics of our multidisciplinary department. We commit ourselves to high-quality education and research. The Department deals with a wide range of distinct but interrelated research subjects and has formed research labs in areas such as graphic design and communication, games, new technologies, visual sociology, semiotics, museum studies, and design for social change.
