LASER talks Fortaleza - SUPERPOSED WORLDS

LASER (Leonardo Art Science Evening Rendezvous) is Leonardo/ISAST's international program of evening gatherings that brings artists and scientists together for informal presentations and conversations.

The frontiers between the virtual and the real are each time more blurred thanks to accessible technologies including devices and applications for Augmented and Virtual reality. This March the LASER talks Fortaleza invites you to explore AR superposed worlds that can include images, animations, graphics, sounds, texts, considering that their presence becomes part of our daily experience deeply transforming the ways we interact, learn, work, create.

Featured artists and speakers:

Marina Lima is an Architect and Designer, Ph.D. candidate at the Graz University of Technology, Austria. With a B.A. in Architecture by the Federal University of Ceará and a Master in Urban Planning by the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), in her professional practice she has always experimented with new technologies participating in multicultural and multidisciplinary teams. As a researcher she is interested in using information and communication technologies as tools for architectural and urban design.

Ana Patrícia Alcântara, Doctor of Clinical Dentistry (DClinDent) and Master in Dentistry (MDent), has a B.A. by the University of Fortaleza, and is a specialist in Periodontology by the Academy of Dentistry of Ceara (ACO). Dr. Alacântara is a professor at the Department ofDentistry, University of Fortaleza, running research projects related to aesthetics in dentistry focusing on the integration of digital technologies such as AR in the build of didactic strategies.

Clarissa Ribeiro, chair of the LASER talks Fortaleza, PhD, MArch, B.Arch, Former Fulbright Scholar, Director of the Lab for Innovation and Prototyping (LIP), coordinates the CrossLab research group and is a Professor at the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning, University of Fortaleza.
