Featuring speakers:
Daniel Hora, PhD
Assistant Professor, Visual Arts Department, Federal University of Espirito Santo (UFES), his research interests embrace arts, technology and media theory and criticism, focusing on post-digital aesthetics, open source and hacker culture, and generative aspects of parametric design. He is one of the directors of Fresta (technical Images and Errant Devices) research group and a member of the Aesthetics, Hermeneutics and Semiotics research center, at the University of Brasilia (UNB) Department of Architecture and Urban Planning, where he was a postdoctoral research fellow from 2015 to 2017. He has a PhD in Contemporary Arts from the University of Brasília (2015) and was a Fulbrighter visiting PhD researcher at the Visual Arts Department, University of California San Diego (UC San Diego), from 2013 to 2014. He was awarded in 2009 the Itaú Cultural ‘Cybernetic Art’ prize (academic research category).

Daniel Lenz, MSc/PhD candidate
PhD candidate at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) where he is a member of the LAMO research group (Lab of Digital Models and Digital Fabrication), Daniel Lenz has a Master in Architecture from the University of Campinas (UNICAMP, 2015) where she was a member of the LAPAC (Laboratory of Automation and Prototyping for Architecture and Construction). He has a Diploma in Architecture and Urban Planning from the Federal University of Ceara (UFC) working as a member of the LED research group (Lab for Digital Experiences) and a Diploma in Mechatronics by the CEFET-CE (Federal Centers for Technological Education). From 2015 to 2016 he was a fixed-term lecturer at the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning and Design, Federal University of Ceara, and an Assistant Professor at the University of Fortaleza (UNIFOR). His research interest embraces, since his undergrad, General System Theory and complexity related to urban phenomena e design strategies.

Daniel Hora
É professor adjunto do Departamento de Artes Visuais no Centro de Artes da Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo. Atua nas áreas de teoria e crítica da arte, tecnologia e mídia, com ênfase em temas relacionados à estética pós-digital, cultura hacker, código aberto e generatividade. É um dos líderes do grupo de pesquisa Fresta: imagens técnicas e dispositivos errantes. É também colaborador do Núcleo de Estética, Hermenêutica e Semiótica - NEHS, vinculado ao Programa de Pós-Graduação da Faculdade de Arquitetura e Urbanismo da Universidade de Brasília. Neste mesmo programa, realizou pós-doutorado com bolsa da Capes de 2015 a 2017. Obteve doutorado em Arte Contemporânea pela Universidade de Brasília em 2015. Durante parte desse curso, foi pesquisador visitante no Departamento de Artes Visuais da Universidade da Califórnia - San Diego, como bolsista do programa Capes-Fulbright de doutorado sanduíche nos EUA. Recebeu o prêmio Rumos Itaú Cultural Arte Cibernética de 2009, na categoria pesquisa acadêmica.

Daniel Lenz
Bolsista de Doutorado do CNPq na Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, UFRJ, integra o grupo LAMO (Laboratório de Modelos e Fabricação Digital) de pesquisa. Mestre em Arquitetura, Tecnologia e Cidade pela UNICAMP, tendo integrado o grupo LAPAC (Laboratório de Automação e Prototipagem para Arquitetura e Construção), seus interesses de pesquisa envolvem TI aplicada à arquitetura, com enfoque no uso de algoritmos, teoria geral dos sistemas (tgs), CAD/CAM para arquitetura, tendo ênfase no estudo de comportamento emergente de sistemas auto-organizados. Graduado em Arquitetura e Urbanismo pela Universidade Federal do Ceará, integrou o grupo LED (Laboratório de Experiências Digitais) tendo se graduado também no Curso Superior de Tecnologia em Mecatrônica pelo Centro Federal de Educação Tecnológica do Ceará.
