LASER Talks São Paulo aims to bring together researchers, scientists, businessman musicians, scenic, computer and contemporary artists, designers and architects interested in researching, developing and using new materials, parametric design, and IoT (Internet of Things), digital movies, and smart devices in their projects and prototypes. In this evening rendezvous, we will have a GJ (‘Game jay’) performance with the participation of the French curator Isabelle Arvers and the journalist, writer, and musician Roger Marzorchi doing a saxophone improvisation with a BCI (Brain-Computer Interface). Isabelle Arvers is presenting some results of a journey she embarked in 2019 for a one year art and games world tour to celebrate her 20 years of curatorship. In every country she has visited, she has met and interviewed artists and game-makers focusing on female, 'queer,' feminist, and 'decolonial 'practices. For this LASER Talks São Paulo, she will be using games loops and Brain-Computer data as raw material for a ‘game jay’ (GJ) performance to play improvised live music created by Roger Marzochi with a VJ software. She is calling this a GJ performance.
