Ann Elias is a senior lecturer in visual arts at the University of Sydney and a writer and researcher of camouflage, war and aesthetics, and still-life. Recent journal publications include Leonardo, and War , Literature and the Arts. A book titled The Secret History of Camouflage: Australia 1939-1945 (Sydney University Press) is due for completion in 2010.
