Aileen Wilson lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. She is Associate Professor, Art and Design Education, Pratt Institute and Director of the department’s Saturday Art School. She received an M.A. in Printmaking from Chelsea School of Art, London, UK, an Ed. M. Art/Art Education from Teacher’s College, Columbia University, New York City and is currently a student in the doctoral program in Art/Art Education at Teacher’s College, Columbia University. Her research interests include gothic and violent content in adolescent drawing; integrating contemporary artists’ ideas and processes into art education studio classes and visualizing research design in art education. Her recent projects include conference presentations, and journal articles on the aesthetic interests of adolescents and the implications for art education. She is also currently working on a number of studio projects and installations.
