A musicologist specializing in musique concrete, a composer of cabaret music and a Visiting Lecturer in the Telematics Department of the Open University, UK, Carlos Palombini has held fellowships and studentships from the Rockefeller Foundation, the British Council, the Goethe-Institut, the National Research Council (CNPq), the Office for the Development of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES) and the National Art Foundation (Funarte). His writings appear in Leonardo, the Leonardo Music Journal, the Leonardo Electronic Almanac, the Computer Music Journal, MikroPolyphonie, the Electronic Musicological Review, Music and Letters, Organised Sound and Synteesi.
