Timothy Barker is Professor of Media Technology and Aesthetics at the University of Glasgow. He is the author of two books, Time and the Digital (Darmouth College Press, 2012) and Against Transmission (Bloomsbury 2018), both of which are based on his ongoing research into digital culture and representations of time, memory and history. He is the co-editor with Maria Korolokova of Miscommunications: Errors, Mistakes, Media, which explores the concept of miscommunication from the perspectives of media archaeology, philosophy of technology, art history and media and communication studies.
