Emad Abouata Amlashi is a filmmaker, scholar, and Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Communication at Arkin University of Creative Arts and Design (ARUCAD), where he teaches film, media, and visual storytelling. He holds a PhD in Film and Media Studies, with a dissertation titled The Aesthetics and Taxonomy of Film Grammar in Cinematic Virtual Reality, which develops the Collaborative Narrative Model (CNM) through philosophical inquiry (Deleuze, Barthes, Ricoeur) and narrative-aesthetic analysis of VR works. His research and creative practice focus on cinematic virtual reality, cross-media storytelling, experimental visual forms, narrative theory, and the aesthetics of embodiment in digital environments. His work has appeared in leading international journals and festivals, and he has directed, edited, and contributed to award-winning film and video projects.
