Burcu is a Senior Lecturer in Interior Design at Bath Spa University and a researcher specializing in spatial experience, well-being, and regenerative approaches to interior design. With a background in interior architecture and environmental design, as well as a PhD in architectural design, her work explores the sensory dimensions of space and how interiors can promote resilience and human-centered responses. She has extensive international experience leading design studios, including design and build projects and interdisciplinary collaborations. Her research and teaching focus on design studio pedagogy, the sensory and atmospheric qualities of space, and environmentally responsive design methods.
