Dr. Aurea Ramírez Jiménez is a research professor in the Department of Bioengineering at Tecnológico de Monterrey, Querétaro Campus. She is co-leader of the national research group Food Security and Nutrition and heads the Sustainable Bioproducts Laboratory. Her work focuses on developing functional foods to address malnutrition and evaluating their impact using nutrigenomic approaches. She is also involved in multidisciplinary projects that integrate art, science, and technology in collaboration with the School of Architecture, Art, and Design at Tecnológico de Monterrey.
