Ainolnaim Azizol

Ainolnaim Azizol is a Malaysian contemporary classical composer and researcher whose works bridge tradition, technology, and ecology. His compositions have been commissioned and performed internationally at events such as Acht Brücken Musik Festival (Germany), Asian Composers League (Japan, 2nd Prize), New Recorder Music Festival (Switzerland, 3rd Prize), and the New York City Electroacoustic Music Festival. His artistic research explores eco-cultural soundmarks as a means to amplify Malay identity through sound art. A MARA Scholar and Ph.D. graduate from the University of Bristol, he was also a research fellow at the Brigstow Institute, UK, where he developed interactive soundscape-based projects. He currently serves as a senior lecturer at the Faculty of Music, Universiti Teknologi MARA. Ainolnaim leads the SPECTRA collective, an electroacoustic music group and festival platform, and is vice president of the Malaysian Composers Collective (MCC). He is also the founder of the Malaysia Electronic Music Lab (MEMLab), a regional member of the International Confederation of Electroacoustic Music (ICEM) / Confédération Internationale de Musique Électroacoustique (CIME).
