Claus is an interdisciplinary artist born in Berlin. He holds a degree in biochemistry (Free University Berlin), Fine Arts (Academy of Fine Arts Dresden) and Art&Science (University of Applied Arts, Vienna). Claus's practice is dedicated to exploring human knowledge production in a post-representation and post-human landscape, emphasizing scientific collaborations and conceptual approaches. His technical production frameworks encompass moving image, sound, and circular material-based objects. Claus worked with the European Commission, Survival Kit Festival (Riga), Manifesta 14 (Prishtina), CTM Festival (Berlin), Glasgow International and Künstlerhaus Vienna.
