Focus area: AI (Machine Learning, Neural Networks, Deep Fakes)

My work spans academic research and creative practice.
1. I am an interdisciplinary creative practitioner and researcher focussing on digital performance and design in/around/through the body. By this I mean the practices, research, R&D, and industrial applications of digital technologies - including AI - within performing arts (particularly dance and choreography) and design (particularly fashion, textiles and materials), but also the performance of systems and processes designed for creative outputs. I am also currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow within the inaugural research lab at ESMOD Paris where my axis of focus is Art, Design and Innovation - Bodies & Technologies.
2. Through 20+ years of experience in fashion, dance theatre, and design working solo, in micro start-ups, SME's, universities and global corporations in Europe, the UK, North America and the Far East, I have developed my consulting practice applicable to academic and industry contexts:
- Art & design research for industry and academia
- Digital performance and production
- Choreographic and body-centred methods adapted for non-movement based settings
- Strategy through design research methods, design thinking, qualitative data collection and analysis
- Practice-based (PaR) research methods
- Fashion and materials research
