Kuo-Ying Lee holds a doctoral degree from the University of North Texas and a master's degree from the New England Conservatory. She is the recipient of an NEC scholarship, the UNT Dean's Camerata Scholarship, and the 2008 full scholarship awarded from the Taiwan Ministry of Education to study in the US. Lee has been a faculty member at Zhaoqing University in China since 2019. Before that, she worked as an assistant professor at National Tsing Hua University and National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University in Taiwan from 2015 to 2018. She has received several Outstanding Teacher's Awards - one in 2017 from NTHU, another in 2022 from the Asia Musicians Association, and a third in 2022 from Parsons Music Foundation. Lee's research articles have been published by Cambridge Scholars Publishing, as well as in various journals, including the Journal of Contemporary Educational Research, the International Journal of Management and Humanities, and the International Journal of Arts and Humanities Studies. She has been a music educator since 2004, teaching at elementary, middle, and high schools before joining the college.
