Megan McDevitt
Megan McDevitt (they/she) is a queer, neurodiverse New York City-based dancer, choreographer, and poet. She graduated from the University of Maryland in 2022 with degrees in dance and neuroscience. Megan has danced for Project ChArma, Lo Poppy, PEARSONWIDRIG DANCETHEATER, Chuck Wilt, Alex Wong, Lauren Froderman, Crystal Davis, Colleen Thomas, Hollis Bartlett and Nattie Trogdon, and many others. Megan choreographed their work at the University of Maryland and earned herself numerous scholarships including the Maryland Summer Scholars Research Grant, Erika Thimey Endowed Scholarship in Dance, George and Ruth Tretter Performing Arts Award, and Cora and John H Davis Performing Arts Award. Megan was a summer fellow at the Dance Education Laboratory in 2019 and attended the American Dance Festival on full scholarship in 2022. Since moving to NYC, Megan has interned and trained with Paul Taylor Dance Company, interned for Doug Varone & Dancers, trained with David Dorfman Dance, performed at Arts on Site and Greenspace, and worked in collaboration with the Fluid Creature Collective.
