Haein Kang is a new media artist, educator, and researcher who explores the unknown. She holds a Ph.D. in Digital Arts & Experimental Media from the University of Washington in Seattle. Her dissertation research focuses on the artistic application of brain-computer interfaces. Her data-driven sound installation, Wind from Nowhere, received an Honorary Mention at the Prix Ars Electronica. Dr. Kang is an Assistant Professor at Vanderbilt University, where she is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of art through the poetic use of emerging technologies.
