Jung-ah Son

Jung-ah Ellie Son is a curator/researcher/editor based in Denmark. She looks to create exhibitions and creative workshops through art-science collaboration. She is interested in seeking non-hierarchical relations among human, more-than-human, and technology as alternatives to the dualism of human and non-human.
Her recent projects include A Playground for Porpoise (2022, Arts Council Korea), Project Hashtag 2021 (2021, National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, MMCA), and Jeju 4.3 Art Festival (2017). She holds a Ph.D. and an M.F.A. in art theory and criticism from Kookmin University. She holds a B.Sc. in ocean science from Korea Maritime & Ocean University. She had worked with various experts in different disciplines such as Oceanography, Astrophysics, and Biology.
