Tanya Vlach

Tanya Vlach (she/they) is a disabled, neurodivergent multimedia artist, writer, and recovery-centered facilitator based in San Francisco. Through Colibrita, their creative studio and workshop platform, they explore disability studies, generative AI, and participatory storytelling to transform shame into shared wonder. Tanya’s practice—spanning collage, performance, zines, and speculative world-building—has been featured by the de Young Museum and the Columbia Digital Storytelling Lab. A survivor and granddaughter of a Guatemalan immigrant, Tanya brings a Latinx sensibility to their work, weaving cultural memory, personal mythology, and ritual into inclusive, multi-sensory experiences that center collective care, creative autonomy, and radical imagination.
