Wes Modes is a Santa Cruz–based artist and an MFA candidate at UC Santa Cruz. Wes worked in the tech industry for 25 years as a software engineer, systems administrator, and systems architect. As an artist, he has focused on assemblage and sculpture; engaged unsuspecting audiences with interactive improvisation; engineered contexts that encouraged adults to play; and performed with unique ensemble musical groups.
