 Ricardo O'Nascimento is a fusionist designer, writer and lecturer. He investigates body-environment relations focused on interface development for worn devices, interactive installations, and hybrid environments. He is interested in a multidisciplinary approach to create new means of communication among living beings and experiences that challenge and enhance human perception.  

He holds a degree from PUC - SP (Brazil), SENAC - SP (Brazil), and the University of Arts and Industrial Design Linz (Austria) at the Interface Culture Department. Currently, he is a PhD candidate at Loughborough University (UK), where he investigates the epistemological opportunities of wearable haptics.

With this experience, Ricardo continuously attends universities and events throughout the globe for guest lectures and workshops. His teaching experience includes a guest lecturer at Kunst Universität Linz (Austria), Ludwig MaximilianUniversity of Munich (Germany),  ESDEMGA in Pontevedra (Spain), IED – Madrid (Spain), and São Paulo (Brazil), and Willem de Koning Academie in Rotterdam (The Netherlands). In addition, he is the author of "Roupas Inteligentes: combinando moda e tecnologia", the first book of the field in Portuguese.  He also gives talks and keynotes at conferences and sometimes curates exhibitions. 

His works have been featured in several museums, galleries, and art festivals like Ars Electronica, FILE, LABoral, V2, Instituto Itaú Cultural, Soft Galleri, MAK Vienna, and Transmediale, among others.
