Frédéric Dufeu is Senior Research Fellow in Music and Music Technology at the University of Huddersfield. After completing a Master's degree in Arts and Digital Technologies (2007) and a PhD in Music (2010) at Université Rennes 2, he joined the Centre for Research in New Music (CeReNeM) at Huddersfield to work on the Arts and Humanities Research Council funded TaCEM project (Technology and Creativity in Electroacoustic Music, 2012-2015) with Michael Clarke and Peter Manning. Both a musicologist and a software developer, he is currently working on the European Research Council funded IRiMaS project (Interactive Research in Music as Sound, 2017-2022) directed by Michael Clarke.
