Gemma San Cornelio is Senior Lecturer at the Information and Communication Sciences Studies, Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (Barcelona, Spain).  She holds a PhD in Communication and a large experience as a researcher on digital culture, in the Mediaccions group, where she has led a number of funded projects on digital identity, creativity and participation in new media. She has published widely on digital media and culture, authoring more than 20 academic articles, and she is the author of the books: Arte e identidad en internet (2008), Exploraciones creativas: prácticas artísticas y culturales de los nuevos medios (2010). She is currently researching on personal narratives on social media and the use of storytelling as a creative mean to foster speculative futures related to climate change.
