Caroline Wellbery MD PhD is Professor at Georgetown University Medical School and Associate Deputy Editor of American Family Physician. She received her medical degree from the University of California/San Francisco in 1991 and completed her Family Medicine residency at Community Hospital, Santa Rosa, California in 1994. She also received a PhD in Comparative Literature from Stanford University in 1982 and has devoted her career to the integration of art, literature and medicine.Her current teaching and scholarship also focuses on climate change education for medical professionals.
