Seçkin Maden
Architect, Academicianat Istanbul Bilgi UniversitySeçkin Maden is a Ph.D. Architect, specialized in design and computation from Istanbul, Turkey. He has studied Architecture at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University and done his Master's degree in Istanbul Bilgi University. He has taught as a studio instructor and course lecturer. He has received his Ph.D. from the Architectural Design Computing Programme at Istanbul Technical University. He currently works as a freelance architect and designer.
Seçkin has been involved in specialized workgroups in both practice and academia. He worked as a computational design specialist in several architectural design offices such as Midek, Aslihan Demirtas Desing and Research Office, Çinici Architects, and KOOP. Since 2010, he has been an instructor in 2nd year and basic design studios, and a lecturer in Design Geometry and Design Computing courses at Istanbul Bilgi University, School of Architecture.
Seçkin's researches have been published in MSTAS (Özyeğin University, 2015), and Leonardo Journal (MIT Press, 2021). Some of his works have been exhibited in Salt Gallery/Istanbul (2012), TAK Kadıköy/Istanbul (2016), CerModern/Ankara (2018), and Sónar Istanbul (2019). He conducted many computational design workshops around Turkey. He has been an invited design critic at Bilgi University and Istanbul Technical University.
Seçkin is a programmer, has expertise in computational geometry, fabrication technologies, non-standard audio-visual design, and photorealistic visualization.
