Mirjana Prpa is an artist, an architect, designer of virtual reality experiences, and a researcher who explores postphenomenology, embodied interaction, and lived experiences in relation to immersive virtual environments. In her work, virtual reality is utilized critically to elicit experiences yet not to oppress, in a paradoxical interplay of using technology to undo the effects of the long-term technology use and bring focus back to embodied, lived experiences. Currently she is working towards her PhD degree at the School of Interactive Arts+Technology, Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, Canada.
