I make art with science themes, and am currently working in fiber, drawing & painting, and mixed media. My artwork has been exhibited in galleries, museums, and public spaces in the US, Belgium, and the UK. I have catalyzed and curated several art-science exhibits and performances, at universities, academic society meetings, museums, and other venues. Since 1999, I have taught art-science workshops at colleges & universities, biological field stations, museums, and other institutions in the US and Costa Rica. I worked for ten years as a research technician in several science labs focusing on pollination biology, microbial symbionts of insects, and large-scale ecology. From 2015-2018, I was founder and director of Art + Science In the Field: AS IF Center, an art-science residency program. I earned a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
