Fred Collopy is a Professor Emeritus of Design and Innovation at Case Western Reserve Univerisy. He is the designer of Imager, a software based instrument for playing abstract visuals improvisationally. Since 1998 he has written and lectured extensively on the many relationships in art and music, particularly the contributions of modernist painters to visual music theory.
