Abstract: The objective of this doctoral thesis is the identification and research of the artistic creation of the current global situation. In order to identify the formal and conceptual singularities and make a proposal for classification, an analysis has been made, divided into two parts of action. In the first part, a theoretical exploration has been carried out on the nature of current creation from a theoretical approach. To investigate the current artistic creation implies, in the first place, to face the problem that arises in front of the indefinition that presents the artistic category called Contemporary Art, since to carry out the analysis it is necessary to use terms and properties that are efficient to delimit the nature of the object of study. The theoretical exploration elaborates an examination to the context and the production to identify a series of singularities that evidence the need to propose new terms and methodologies based on the use of digital tools that are able to make visible other ways of thinking and to interpret the complexity of the contemporary. According to the results of the first part, the author proposes the articulation of the concepts of Contemporary and Global in the same term, Art of the Global Contemporary. A term that presents a heterosemic nature capable of admitting The Complexity.
In the second part of the doctoral thesis, an essentially deductive analysis has been carried out by using various data packages on the artistic production of Global current affairs extracted exclusively from the digital network. The hypothesis of the thesis maintains that, by means of the extraction, storage and reading of large data packages consulted directly from the publications of institutions related to artistic creation on the Internet and analysed by means of different digital tools, it is possible to assume one of the fundamental peculiarities of current art, the Complexity that is implicit in the development of the Global. With the results of the analytical research, the theoretical assumptions of the first part have been verified and a corpus has been elaborated with the most outstanding participants of this artistic trend.
