Rejane Cantoni is a São Paulo based artist. Since 1987 she has researched and developed large-scale, interactive installations that offer visceral mediations on how individuals perceive and communicate within the spaces they inhabit.
She has exhibited in numerous art institutions worldwide including Ars Electronica (Linz, Berlin, Mexico City), The Creators Project (New York, São Paulo), ZKM | Media Museum (Kalruhe), Glow and STRP festivals (Eindhoven), Moscow biennale of contemporary art, Espacio Fundación Telefônica (Buenos Aires), Copenhagen Contemporary Art Festival (Copenhagen), FILE - International Festival of Electronic Language (São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Curitiba, Porto Alegre), Synthetic Times - Media Art China 2008 (Beijing), Zeebrastraat (Ghent), Mois Multi (Québec), Thingworld - International Triennial of New Media Art 2014 (Beijing), Ruhrtriennale 2014 (Duisburg), Asia Culture Center/ACC (Gwangju), Wonderspaces (San Diego, Scottsdale), Wavelength (Shenzhen, Shanghai, Beijing). 
She is a Board Member of the Interplanetary Initiative at Arizona State University. She holds two Post-Ph.D's in Arts from the University of São Paulo, a Ph.D and Masters in Communications and Semiotics from the Catholic University of São Paulo and a Masters from the Program of Études Supérieures des Systèmes d'Information from Geneva University. Before shifting to a full-time artist, she was Assistant Dean and Professor at the Mathematics, Physics and Technology Center at Catholic University of São Paulo.
