Carolyn L. Kane is the author of Chromatic Algorithms: Synthetic Color, Computer Art, and Aesthetics after Code (University of Chicago Press, 2014). Currently a postdoctoral fellow at Brown University (2014–2015), she is also an Assistant Professor at Ryerson University in Toronto. Dr. Kane received her Ph.D. from New York University in 2011 and specializes in the history and philosophy of new media, electronic color, and digital aesthetics.
