Sven-Amin Lembke

Sven-Amin Lembke has a background in musicology, acoustics, and psychology. He completed a PhD in Music Technology at the Schulich School of Music, McGill University, Montreal, Canada, where he was a member of the Music Perception and Cognition Laboratory under the supervision of Prof. Stephen McAdams. He is currently a Senior Lecturer in Music and Audio Technology at De Montfort University, Leicester, United Kingdom, where he teaches acoustics and its relevance to music creation and production. Whereas his doctoral research focused on the perception of timbre in orchestral music, as a member of the Music, Technology and Innovation - Institute for Sonic Creativity (MTI2), his research has since focused on studying the perceptual and cognitive factors underlying the creation and reception of electroacoustic music.
