Susan Reiser is the Senior Advisor to the Provost  and Lecturer at UNC Asheville. Her data-informed art with Courtney Starrett has been displayed at the Center for Craft, the Palmer Gallery at Vassar College, the City Museum of New York and was featured in Metalsmith Magazine. For the last eight years, Susan taught a dual-enrolled course at Cherokee High School or workshops on the Qualla Boundary in which students use digital techniques to create culturally-relevant craft. She serves as the co-chair of the ACM Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Task Force for Computer Science Education and chairs the Graphics and Visualization sub-committee of the ACM Computer Science Curriculum 202X. Susan is one of collaborative co-founders of STEAM Studio and, along with Rebecca Bruce, co-developed Creative Fabrication and many other courses that meld computer science and engineering with art through human-centered design.
