Lesley Scott

New York,
United States

Hi, I’m Lesley, originally from Baltimore, MD now living in NYC. My education is in Mechanical Engineering, after college I worked in corporate engineering making medical devices and science museum exhibits. After being hit by a car while I was riding my bike the chronic pain made it difficult for me to continue working so I, with my fiancée Jonique, moved to Panamá to enjoy a slower life. While there I began designing furniture that fit our bodies and also solved problems. Since moving back to the US my disability has progressed and I use a wheelchair for mobility. That has only increased my inspiration for invention. Currently I design and 3D print objects that increase my accessibility in my own home, like a tiny mop to make it easier to wash the bathtub while sitting down, a facemask with a voice amplifier, and a medicine dispenser that can hold and dispense the many medications I take daily.
