Valerie Constantino is a visual artist and writer, working with a range of traditional and contemporary hybrid art forms. Her seminal studies in textiles led to broad investigations on the subject of materiality and the malleable intersections of time, matter and identity. These considerations prompted further research regarding the intricate relationships between global economies, societal systems and the environment. An exhibiting artist and published writer, Constantino has received a number of notable awards in support of her interdisciplinary work. She currently lives and works in northern California.
