Alyssa Henning is a Ph.D. candidate at Arizona State University in the Biological Design Ph.D. program and the Responsible Innovation in Science, Engineering, and Society (RISES) graduate certificate program. Her dissertation research is about using wearables to estimate ultraviolet radiation exposure during outdoor activities and exploring how people envision themselves using these wearables to aid their sun-protective behaviors. She is currently the Graduate Student Assistant for ASU-Leonardo, and she enjoys creating 3D printed and laser cut jewelry and accessories.
