David Brownrigg has BSc, Msc and PhD degrees, with research interests and publications spanning aspects of computer art, computer science, mathematics and astronomy. He is a member of the British Computer Society and of the Royal Photograhic Society, a Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society, and a Visiting Research fellow at Goldsmiths University of London, where until 2010 he was course director for University of London Computing Programmes, including Creative Computing, for External Students. He has held university academic posts in several countries as well as scientific roles at the Royal Observatory Edinburgh and in industry. David has been involved in art/science collaborations for over 35 years, with an emphasis on the loop of interaction between diverse practitioners, generating new techniques to support artists in creating original work.
