Patricia’s work actively engage with issues of representation, interpretation, perception and memory. These works are for the most part multimedia, theatrical, and collaborative, involving elements such as live electronics, resonating and animated objects, and interactive video. Her primary interest is in pursuing experiments in the creation of mechanical - or robotic - systems for producing sound from musical instruments or objects through physical computing; this would lead to the creation of an installation of 'self-playing' instruments or objects. She earned a PhD in Sonic Arts at Sonic Arts Research Centre (SARC) at Queens University in Belfast, Ireland, in 2014 and previously a PhD in Composition from Princeton University in 2008.
