I am a tasmanian artist with degrees in physics / mathematics and a PhD in software art.  I worked for CSIRO as an experimental scientist developing computer models of ocean circulation in the 1980's, before becomming an academic at the University of Tasmania in the early 90's developing and delivering art and technology courses for 25 years.

I am now a full time independent creative practitioner, broadly my art is based around generative practices, but I have worked across digital prints, machine drawings, installation, video and animation and some robotics.  Intellectually I continue to be interested in most aspects of science, but particularly physics and the neuro-sciences, but also philosophy of mind and consciousness and the curious nature of the epistemology of art.
