Composer, sound artist and researcher. He holds a PhD from DXARTS (The Center for the Digital Arts and Experimental Media, University of Washington, Seattle, USA), and an Electro-Acoustic Music Composition degree from Universidad Nacional de Quilmes (UNQ, AR), where he works as an associate professor and researcher. He also teaches at Universidad Nacional Tres de Febrero (AR) in the Electronic Arts Degree and its MFA on Technology and Aesthetics of Electronic Arts. His research focuses on the musical relations between space, sound, speech and memory within technological environments. His artistic production includes electronic and instrumental music compositions, interdisciplinary projects in public spaces, sound art performances and interactive art installations. He has composed music for theatre, dance and film. For 30 years now, he has been developing the on going project Archivo PAIS: an archive of anonymous voices as an exploration of the tensions between sound and meaning in spoken word as a musical material. He is the founder of experimental music label Inkilino Records (www.inkilinorecords.net), and directs the Sound Art Book Series at Editorial UNQ. Recent distinctions include an Honorary Mention at Prix Ars Electronica in the Sound Art & and Digital Musics category, a grant from IBERMÚSICAS to work at CMMAS Centro Mexicano para la Música y las Artes Sonoras, and commissions from the 48º Ferienkurse für Neue Musik Darmstadt, Bienal de Performance BP19, and CETC Centro de Experimentación del Teatro Colón in Argentina.
