Oregon State University
As one of three land-, sea-, space- and sun-grant universities in the U.S., Oregon State University offers unique opportunities for interdisciplinary research, learning, and content presentation in the arts, sciences and technology. The longstanding ART-SCI initiative supports this convergence by sponsoring lectures and art events, offering students, faculty and the community the opportunity to interact informally. The University’s new arts center, opening in winter 2024, emphasizes art and science as a strategic area of focus and will serve as a curatorial and presentation hub for content in visual, literary, film, digital, musical, and performance-based mediums. Artists-in-residence programs for both visiting artists and students are supported by the ART-SCI initiative and a number of University research stations, including the H.J. Andrews Experimental Forest and the Hatfield Marine Science Center.
